OKAY SO- I'll just c/p a blurb I wrote about how his powers can affect people for those of you that don't know his canon~
PERCEPTION OF OTHERS:
When interacting with others, The Jon often refers to the colors he sees around them, whether in sharp bright contrasts, dark shadows, or soft dreamy swirls. It's hard to discern if the colors he sees are real, or just a product of his odd imagination, however, the feelings and thoughts he tends to assign to them seem uncannily accurate to the current state of mind of the person, so maybe there might be something to the strange bot's ramblings.
AFFECT OF THE VOID ON OTHERS:
There’s also a risk of anyone around the brassold bot for too long starting to hallucinate, see things the way the cheery automaton does at the very least, due to the unstable core and void he’s powered by. His drawings tend to have a similar effect, granted not as potent as being around him, so he’s been under strict rules for years to keep his drawings in his sketchbooks or on the walls of his room. Of course sometimes he tends to get overexcited and forget that rule, so…
FOURTHWALLING:
The Jon loves cartoons and comics, and has been around a pretty long while. So he's had time to learn all about many canons. SO he might know your character! He also doesn't have the brain-mouth filter to realize that telling someone that they're a cartoon character might not be the best idea.
Okay so, I'd like for everyone to please just let me know what sort of limits you'd like to impose on what The Jon's abilities do in relation to your characters, and what sort of fourthwalling is allowable! It'd be helpful for my reference later if everyone used this format:
Character Name/Journal (please post all characters under one post if you can <3)
VOID AFFECTS: This is more your decision/under your character's control. However, sometimes The Jon will unconsciously 'direct' the hallucinations, so this permission is more for that. (Your character wouldn't be godmodded here, would still be yours, I would just PM you if there was something that may affect your character in this way. An example was during a set, The Jon's presence caused his brother The Spine to start behaving like a bird. The Spine didn't recall the incident and it only lasted moments.) This would probably need some extra conversation between us to make sure that we both knew what we wanted to happen.
PERCEPTION PERMISSIONS: What can The Jon pick up? If permission is given here, please indicate if he can see anything (ie, I'll use your current posts towards him as the guideline-- he'll pick up on moods and thoughts presented. So anything you post as internal thoughts/feelings in the post I was answering to would be where I got the info. Anyone that doesn't want their characters affected, The Jon will have issues picking up on what the colors around them mean/look like. You can also be somewhere in between-- he just gets general 'Character A is feeling this way right now' without any additional info.)
